Math: We are finishing working with multiplication and division bar models with two step word problems this week, our test is THURSDAY. The chapter wrap up can be found on page 260 and 261 in the student text on Think Central. We are also continuing the eXceller’s club.
Reading: This week we are reading Talking Walls: Art for the People. We will be using the illustrations to help us find the meaning of the story.
Writing: Poetry should be coming home this week. We began the great letter race this morning and will be writing friendly letters to all 50 states. If you would like us to write to a particular school or city in a state, please let me know!
Social Studies: We are beginning our unit on economics.

· http://www.khanacademy.org/ - This site was featured on 60 minutes last night. It is designed to assist students in school through online videos, powerpoints and online assessments. It has a lot of 3rd grade Singapore Math tutorials on the site, which is our math series. This may be a good resource during the summer months!
· The library is in its last week of fundraising with Ice Cream for Books and more! Please see the attachment for more details!
