Spelling Homework:
Spelling homework is to be completed in your students spelling spiral notebook.
Monday- write each spelling word in a pyramid.

Tuesday - Write all spelling words in alphabetical order.
Wednesday - use each spelling word in a sentence, make sure to underline your spelling word.
Thursday - Write each spelling word three times each. **Remember, spelling pre-tests are given on Thursday. If your students gets a 100% on the pre-test, they are excused from their Thursday night spelling homework and the Friday spelling test.**
Starting this week, students will be given flash cards to bring home on Monday with sight words. There is a list of 300 sight words that is expected to be known by all students at the end of third grade. We are getting a jump on these words now. Students are expected to read these words automatically by Friday. This means they must be able to read it and say it within 3 seconds of seeing the word. I will test each student individually on Friday. You will get a list of the words on Friday afternoon, any circled words are words the student was unable to say within three seconds.
